Our 7.7.7 wedding!

I am so excited to have finally received photos from our wonderful 7.7.07 wedding- Taso & Stephanie at the Paradise Point Resort. What a fun wedding to be a part of! Stephanie & Taso were so sweet to work with and their wedding day was bright, cheery and beautiful. Here is a glimpse into their day, with photos by Brandon of David Michael Photography:

The beautiful bride & her adorable flower girls:

Seriously, how cute are these little girls?

And I love their fun pomanders!

I love this resort! It really feels like you are on a tropical island, not on the bay in San Diego. This ceremony site was very intimate: tucked away from the rest of the resort off of a cute little bridge.

Some ceremony detail shots:

The beautiful, vibrant flowers were designed by Suzan M Florals.

The groom's daughter, the jr. bridesmaid's, bouquet:
I absolutely love these bouts:

Fun reception details:

The bride created recipes for fun, themed drinks in the colors of the wedding. Don't they look yummy? They were tray passed during the cocktail hour, which was on a big, beautiful deck overlooking the water. She also order customized napkins- such a fun little touch.

The fun, unique centerpieces:

A little bit of lighting goes a long way!

Beautiful uplights during the father daughter dance:

A monogram gobo light on the dance floor during their first dance:

The lighting was provided by the awesome DJ, Peyton with La Jolla Disc Jockeys.

**planning tip: small lighting touches do not add a ton of expense, but add a great deal of ambiance. Many DJ's, rental companies and even venues have basic lighting available, such as uplights. For more involved lighting, there are many wonderful companies specializing in lighting design.**

Some fun shots of the amazing couple around the gorgeous property:

I love this shot of the bride & groom along with the groom's two children:
What a cool family photo!

The beautiful cake, by the French Gourmet . I love how lush the roses are!
Some more yummy dessert:
I could go for a couple of those right now, thank you!

I have never posted a picture of a bathroom before, but you have to see this. Stephanie wanted to leave no area untouched, so we dressed up the ladies restroom with orchids and rose petals, candles, and a basket full of goodies for the guests.
The coolest touch, though, was a framed piece of artwork by the Groom's daughter. She drew the bride & groom at the ceremony. So sweet!

I love it when I get to be in on a surprise! At one of our meetings, Stephanie sent Taso to the car to get something and then quickly filled me in on her plan.
These may look like normal placecards, but...

...behind each one Stephanie had taped a penny. This was a nod to a special tradition Taso had started. Everytime they were by water or a fountain, he would pull out two pennies so that they could make a wish a throw them into the water. He even proposed this way!

After their thank you speech, we quickly handed the mic off to one of stephanie's good friends, who told the history of the penny and had each guest open up their escort card frame to find their penny. Stephanie then asked that each guest take a minute at some point in the night to make a wish and throw the penny into the ocean or one of the resort's ponds. Taso was completely surprised! I loved it!

Taso & Stephanie: It was such a blast to be a part of your wonderful wedding! I wouldn't have wanted to spend the biggest wedding day of the year with anyone else. I hope married life is treating you well and I wish you & the kids the best!
